Plz stop showing our trade secrets. Your taking food out of our mouth. Keep your secrets to yourself. MUD is a ART
The Bob Ross of Drywall
Great video as usual. Love the Channel. Dumb question – I know the mud is wet or damp, but is the sponge damp or dry? TIA
This guy is the Bob Ross of Home repair
My wife says you’re the bob ross of drywall!
I only have a small spot to cover. My husband has put the drywall piece over it. Do I tape it first? Before mudding it?
With grout, the sponge should be wet then squeezed out. Your sponge is used dry, correct?
Thanks for all your advice, I don’t attempt any job on my home without first watching your videos!
If your cake icing is powdered, you fucked up.
Hot mud makes you money, no foolin. Good video my friend. I am a painter who does a fair amount of drywall and general repairs and getting into these products was a game changer.
Top tip and easy to follow.
whenever I get a small hole in drywall from a screw or whatever I was using spackle and trying to sand it after and it NEVER comes out perfectly smooth. My contractor told me to use joint compound instead of spackle, but this stuff looks great. Thanks so much for making this!
Thank you for your video's I wish you lived here or could recommend someone that would be willing to help a senior without out ripping me off. I have so many things that I would love to have finished but don't really trust anyone now.
You remind me of Red Green with that gentle voice, but with less duct tape and better results.
When I use to mix small batches of Durabond 30 or 45, I’d use my wife’s kitchen whisk. It was great for mixing. She’d get so damn mad at me, so I ended up buying my own. lol
Great tips!! You’ve saved me so much time. Thank you.
After watching your videos I have done all the mudding of joints and all seems nice a smooth. After painting I can still see some of the spots I didnt sand down enough – what should I do now?
I use this method for dough making ☺️
Very informative… will save me a lot of strife… love this. You are not only talented by cute as well… 🙂
Thank you so much for these videos! As someone who is trying to learn on my own and fix my home these are a God send!
Anyone else expecting Hunter Biden to snort that whole pile??
Jeff, thanks for the vid! i pushed the cut out piece a little too much and now I got an uneven surface. any idea how ii can fix it? thanks!!
this guy makes everything seem fun and easy but yet i still dont know how to do anything hahah
REGARDING- Country Water : My friend's builder didn't bring in water for the grout and used the well water. They are 2 miles from the vent of SULPHUR SPRINGS. The water smells HORRIBLE. He had to regrout the entire house! Which is all tile since its a former cop who was shot in the line of duty and is in a wheelchair.
Great video. Man what I wouldn't give to be naturally gifted at carpentry!
What product did you use?
Sheetrock = cancerous. Just saying..
I did my whole house with the quick-set. I even set the tape in it. Keeps u movin n eventually u learn how much to do at once. I’ve run out of the mud many times before it set !! The learning curve.
Mr. Home RenoVision, I have read on the hot mud packages that there is a danger that if you coat too thin and it dries before it can harden that it has no strength so I always use cold mud for the final coats. I see you are coating thin, what is your take on that issue?
Can you use 20 minute. Instead of 45 minute? Thankyou
Thank you so much for your instructive videos and helping a Grandma be better at working with grand kids for them to aspire to have more diy pride with goals to appreciate home care alot more, and to learn more about sustainable enriching trades and craftsmanship.
That will flash right through the paint, you have no idea what you are talking about.
Well done thanks
I have done hundreds of patches. And one coat no primer after a patch is NOT even close to acceptable. Aside from the fact that 90 % of the time you still need texture. I like most of your content but I think you dropped the ball on this one.
I stripped the popcorn off the ceiling, can I use this method on the bumps and such in the ceiling – I'm going to leave it smooth, no popcorn replacement.
What is it what is it?
Is the sponge dry or is it wetted and wrung out?
